Qmunity Kenz is a grass roots initiative that was established to join the dots between people, ideas and resources to contribute towards building a more connected, equitable and sustainable community in Qatar and beyond. We believe healthy communities thrive when they are built on values, respect and co-creation.
At the heart of our mission is our people powered timebank that offers a rewarding and enjoyable way to bring people together to share their skills, resources, and time.
To help shape our Qmunity, a group of 30 early adopters & co-creators with shared values came together in March 2022 to share their thoughts, knowledge and views on ways that Qmunity Kenz & timebanking could purposefully contribute to everyday life for people, families and communities living and working in Qatar.
This platform is the start, and through our collective and shared values, we hope to enable people, families and communities to share their skills, knowledge and experience in an equitable and sustainable way whilst making new friends and making a difference to their neighbourhoods.

Our goals:
- Develop the platform with insights from the Qmunity, offering a more multilingual experience with a fully adapted Arabic site and develop a unique rewards program that money can’t buy and our Qmunity can access and benefit from.
- Advocate for the integration & adoption of timebanking into a wide range of settings from Healthcare to Education, volunteering to CSR programs across Qatar and the Arab world by raising awareness and shining a spotlight on the power of timebanking as social tool for positive impact.
- Create an annual Impact Festival & Gatherthon to meet as a collective & celebrate our collective agency within Qatar and the region.
- Enable time credits that are transferable with global timebank partners across MENA and the world so that people can continue to engage with the TB community where ever they are and where ever they travel or move to.
